Pardon the cross posts, I need to figure this out ASAP:
I'm looking for advice on what type of paper to use for screen printing street posters. I need paper that can won't warp or ripple too much from the moisture content of the ink. Budget is also a concern as well, so something affordable is a must. Thanks!

Re: Screen printing posters
Tue, February 13, 2007 - 7:09 AMI always used newsprint or brown paper bags. In Seattle you will probably have a bigger problem from the atmospheric conditions than with the water in the ink. You can buy blank newsprint for pretty cheap.
hope that helps some...

Re: Screen printing posters
Fri, May 25, 2007 - 5:43 AMI use 100lb cougar paper or 14 pt card stock. Not too expensive.
A ggod cheap "earthy" alternative is brown chipboard and can be purchased at packing supply stores. It's cheap and stiff! Oldschool baby!
